  Tony Dicicco is the third head coach in the history in the history of the U.S. Women's National Team. He took over the position Aug. 22, 1994 from Anson Dorrance, and has complied the top winning percentage while closing in on Dorrane's record of 65 wins. On August 1, 1996, he led the U.S. Squad to the first ever gold medal in Olympic women's soccer. He guided the team to a third-place finish at the second FIFA Women's World Championship in Sweden in June 1995; and to first place in U.S. Women's Cup '95, which included a 2-1 overtime victory over world-champion Norway.

Tony DiCicco served as assistant women's coach from 1991 working with the goalkeepers during the USA triumph at the 1st FIFA Women's World Championship in China in November. He served in the same capacity for the 1993 Under-20 Men's National Team when it finished in eighth place at the 7th FIFA World Youth Championship in Australia.

A 1970 graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts, Tony DiCicco majored in physical education. He was the captain and most valuable player his senior year, when he earned All-American honors. DiCicco received his master's degree in physical education from Central Connecticut State University.

Tony DiCicco played five years of professional soccer in the American Soccer League with the Connecticut Wildcats and Rhode Island Oceaneers, where he was team MVP and captain.

In 1981 DiCicco founded Soccer Plus, Inc., Specialty Stores and Soccer Plus Goalkeeper Schools, which has grown to 18 camps nationwide. In addition to his duties with Soccer Plus and the U.S. Women's National Team, DiCicco is the Region I Boys Goalkeeper Director. He is the goalkeeper specialist for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and conducts both U.S. Soccer and NSCAA national licensing camps. He holds both the U.S. Soccer "A" license and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

DICicco started high school soccer programs at Bellows Falls High School in Bellow Falls, VT and South Catholic High School in Hartford, CT. He is a 1966 graduate of Wethersfield High School in Connecticut, where he lettered in soccer, baseball and basketball.
