Born January 23, 1971, Foudy is a native of Mission Viejo, California. She graduated from Stanford University in 1993 with a B.S. degree in biology. At Stanford, she was a four-time NSCAA All-American, the 1991 Soccer America Player of the Year, the 1989 Soccer America Freshman of the Year, and the team' s MVP for three years.
