Cathy Turner is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, most recently setting a new Olympic record in the 500 meter Short Track Speedskating event at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. In 1992, she won a Gold Medal in the 500-meter and a Silver Medal in the 3000-meter relay. She is one of only two Olympians ever to win Gold Medals in consecutive Winter Olympic Games. Following the 1992 Winter Olympics, Turner starred as a singer and skater in the Ice Capades' "Made in America" tour. In June, 1993, she opened her own fitness center, "Cathy Turner's Empire Fitness."
